Varsity takes second at the Franklin Turkey Duals

Lumpkin County Wrestling Takes 2nd Place at Franklin County Duals!
Our Lumpkin County Wrestling team had an outstanding performance today, earning 2nd place at the Franklin County Duals Tournament! Competing against quality varsity programs from North Georgia and South Carolina.
Here’s how the action unfolded:
72-6 win over Winder-Barrow
60-6 win over Cherokee Bluff
Hard-fought 42-39 victory over Palmetto High School (SC), former 4A State Champs
57-18 win over Elbert County
A tough 35-44 loss in the finals against West Oak High School (SC), last year’s 4A State Champions
This incredible effort was made even more impressive with just one practice for our gridiron wrestlers fresh off football season. The team showed resilience, determination, and heart, representing Lumpkin County with pride.
