Lumpkin County dominated at the 3rd Annual Gold City Holiday Nutcracker, claiming many victories in both the Varsity and JV divisions. The team's performance secured them an overall first-place finish, showcasing their strength and skill on the mat.
Our middle school wrestlers had an amazing weekend winning both the NGMWL Dual & Traditional Championships! Look at those individual placements the kids earned today!  Your Lumpkin wrestlers shined last night. Our wrestling teams delivered impressive results across the board! Middle School Team: Kicking off the evening, the middle school wrestlers faced Clear Creek (Gilmer) at home, securing a decisive victory and showcasing their hard work and continued growth. 60-33 JV Matches: The JV wrestlers stepped up in various exhibition matches, with almost every Lumpkin competitor coming out on top. Varsity Team: Closing out the night in dominant fashion, the Varsity team shut out Johnson, not allowing a single team point. The final score: an incredible 78-0 We had a handful of wrestlers unable to compete due to injury, but they stepped up to support their team. However, they were needed, and we are grateful for the "what do you need mindset." Congratulations to all our wrestlers on their outstanding performances! As always, we are so proud of each one of you!
 Lumpkin County Wrestling Takes 2nd Place at Franklin County Duals!
Our Lumpkin County Wrestling team had an outstanding performance today, earning 2nd place at the Franklin County Duals Tournament! Competing against quality varsity programs from North Georgia and South Carolina. Here’s how the action unfolded: 72-6 win over Winder-Barrow 60-6 win over Cherokee Bluff Hard-fought 42-39 victory over Palmetto High School (SC), former 4A State Champs 57-18 win over Elbert County A tough 35-44 loss in the finals against West Oak High School (SC), last year’s 4A State Champions This incredible effort was made even more impressive with just one practice for our gridiron wrestlers fresh off football season. The team showed resilience, determination, and heart, representing Lumpkin County with pride. Congratulations to our wrestlers, coaches, and everyone who supports this program. Let’s keep the momentum going!
